What is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is deep relaxation. It is a natural state that we can slip into and out of every day, for example, when travelling along a familiar route and not remembering how we arrived at our destination, because our mind was totally occupied by other matters; or when you "switch off" and daydream; or when deeply absorbed in a book or film. |

What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is psychotherapy, using hypnosis as a tool to deliver it. It is a serious complementary therapy that provides a natural, effective way of making contact with our inner unconscious self which is a source of many of our problems. It uses the natural elements of the mind in a relaxed and agreeable way as a means of bringing about positive and beneficial changes In the way we think feel and behave. It does, however, require the client to be fully involved in the process, working together with the therapist to bring about the beneficial changes they desire. |

Can anyone be hypnotised? Most people can be hypnotised, provided they want to be, as it can only happen if a person is willing to let themselves go in to this soothing, comforting and relaxing state of mind. |
|
What does it feel like to be hypnotised and can I be made to do something against my will? Everybody experiences hypnosis differently because it is a unique experience. You will be neither awake nor asleep but just feeling a pleasant state of relaxation, an altered state of consciousness. You are always conscious and in control. No one can make you do anything against your will. In fact, your willingness to co-operate is vital for it to be beneficial to you. |
|
Will I be in control? It is a fact that no-one can be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised, a person can still reject any suggestion. In addition, it is completely natural and safe, with no harmful side effects and at anytime a person wishes to come out of hypnosis, they will be able to do so. |

What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)? Neuro-Linguistic Programming works very well on its own but also in combination with Hypnotherapy. It uses techniques which help expand our view of the world and our personal choices, through helping us see things in ways that are more empowering and beneficial. In order for us to be able to cope with the huge amount of information our brain and nervous system takes in from the outside world through our senses of feeling, hearing, sight, smell and taste, it filters it through either distorting, deleting or generalising it, based upon our past experiences, values and beliefs. This then results in the way we view the world, in other words, our view of reality. |

What is Thought Pattern Management? Thought Pattern Management (TPM) is a newly released set of powerful, yet simple tools and technologies . TPM is based on over thirty years of development and extensive research into the processes of the mind-body connection. Drawing on the powerful tools and technologies of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), as well as others. It is not a medical process. Neither is it a psychological or therapeutic process, although it can be used to accomplish many of the same results desired through medical and psychological endeavours. Thought Pattern Management is the study and use of processes to educate and bring about change within the mind and the body. Since the mind runs the functions of the body, when change is made within the mind, corresponding changes often occur within the body. Also, as mental pathways are cleared, many emotional and psychological problems simply go away. They cease producing the negative symptoms of illness. Through the principles and techniques of TPM, the mind/body connection becomes immediately evident. Every thought in the mind has a corresponding body response. Every movement of the body causes a corresponding response in the mind. One does not function independently of the other. This interplay of action and reaction follows set patterns developed over the lifetime of the individual. No two people have exactly the same interactive patterns. They are as individual as fingerprints. Fortunately, there are similarities of these patterns and this allows us to generalize the communication processes needed to bring about desired change." Simply stated, TPM makes changes at the unconscious level of the mind - the level that runs the body, stores memory, manages the body chemistry, etc. This is equivalent to the hard drive and mother board of the computer. NLP makes changes at the linguistic level - the level that runs the mind's software and input/output systems. TPM works with the natural processes of the mind and body in such ways as to teach the mind-body to resolve even deeply seated issues automatically on its own' and often permanently. These advanced technologies can help people with all forms of mental, emotional and physical traumas, as well as severe mental, psychological, and physiological illnesses. |
